Vertica is looking for summer interns in Cambridge, MA for 2017!
Vertica is the leading Big Data analytics database, and our scale, performance, and simplicity are unparalleled in the industry. Vertica enables customers like Facebook, Twitter, Uber, and Zynga to solve Big Data problems at scale that they could not tackle otherwise.
If you study computer science or are passionate about programming, and you want to write software that makes a real impact while working with smart, supportive co-workers, then Vertica wants to hear from you. We are actively interviewing B.S., M.S., and PhD candidates for the summer of 2017.
Read on to find out what your internship will really be like.
From Day 1 at Vertica, you’ll be working alongside our engineers to enhance the Vertica analytics platform in ways that make it easy for our customers to store and analyze data. You’ll be an integral member of our Engineering team while having a dedicated mentor who will answer all your questions and encourage you to learn as much as possible.
As a Vertica intern, you’ll have a substantive project that you complete during your time here. At the end of the summer, you and the other interns participate in a project fair where you present your work to members of the Cambridge team.
Here at Vertica, we have a work hard, play hard philosophy. During the summer, we have hiking trips, lunchtime volleyball, and outings like canoeing on the Charles River or playing games at Dave and Busters. As a group, you’ll walk away with 15 new best friends.
Here’s what the summer 2016 interns said about Vertica:
“I got to contribute in a meaningful way to an ongoing project.”
“A measured approach to development means that my code has a significant impact because it’s been thoroughly tested and has a major impact on the product.”
“The people at Vertica are very diverse and supportive. No question is too stupid.”
“Having a dedicated mentor was great.”
“I love Bagel Thursdays. Some days, I have two or three bagels.”
If you don’t believe us, watch the video below to see what the 2014 interns have to say.
