The updated guidelines around the Coronoavirus (COVID-19) have caused the majority of tech and non-tech conferences to be postponed – from Mobile World Congress to HIMSS to even SXSW, which had a run of 34 consecutive years.
Over the last few weeks, a handful of our customer speakers expressed their disappointment in learning that corporate travel restrictions would prevent them from attending Vertica Big Data Conference 2020 in Boston. As an alternative, many of them offered to present their sessions remotely. That gave us an idea. While we never considered postponing the event, why not offer all of this great content live via a virtual event and recorded for on-demand viewing?
Join Vertica BDC 2020 – Virtually at Your Own Pace for Free
Vertica BDC 2020 is now a virtual event, held on Tuesday, March 31 and Wednesday, April 1. We will offer live webinars as well as recorded on-demand sessions, replacing the physical event that was scheduled to take place at the Boston Encore Harbor Hotel.
We will publish the revised agenda this week on the BDC Web site, but you can expect the same compelling content from our leadership, customers, engineers, and best practices experts – 20 sessions overall, with nearly double that amount available on-demand and via the Under the Hood and Data Disruptors Webcast series.
Every BDC registrant will receive information on how to participate in these sessions and there will be no cost, so this is an opportunity to encourage your broader teams to participate in Virtual Vertica BDC 2020.
Vertica Big Data Conference 2021 Confirmed – July 19, 2021 – July 22, 2021!
Naturally, nothing can replace the value of face-to-face interactions, which is why we have already confirmed that the Vertica Big Data Conference will take place at the Encore Boston Harbor Hotel next year, beginning on Monday, July 19, 2021 and running through Thursday, July 22, 2021.
So, save that date on your calendars for 2021.
