Join us for a free, instructor-led workshop* to see how easy it is to turn your organization into a data-driven business.
Workshop Overview
Day 1: Overview and installation
Day 2: Loading, querying and analyzing data
Day 3: Connecting to third-party tools, regional breakout sessions
*For new Vertica users only
What to expect
In just three 90-minute sessions, these Vertica FastTrack sessions will show you how easy it is to go from installing Vertica in Eon and Enterprise Modes, both in the cloud and on-premises, to batch and streaming data loading, and connecting to external data sources such as Parquet and ORC. We will be running simple to complex queries from Vertica’s command-line vsql and Management Console. Using our open architecture, we’ll look at several of the 100 technology partner integrations, and we will show you how you can improve query performance in just a few clicks using Vertica’s Database Designer.
So much to see – and do!
What to bring
You are encouraged to “get your hands dirty” by either following along during the sessions or in your own time between the sessions. Bring along your own data and experience first hand what is possible.
Prior to joining the sessions, sign up for a cloud account on AWS, Google, or Azure, or have an on-premises cluster (one to three nodes), and sign up for a Vertica Community Edition Trial. You’ll then be ready to get the most out of your Vertica FastTrack sessions.
Who should attend
Data Professionals – data engineers, data analysts, data managers, BI managers, data scientists, IT managers. In fact, anyone who is interested in seeing what’s possible with the world’s fastest, most scalable advanced analytics platform in the cloud or on-premises.
