Phase-out of WOS Support
Over the past several releases, Vertica has significantly improved small batch loading into ROS, which now provides WOS-equivalent performance. In order to simplify product usage, Vertica will phase out support for WOS-related functionality, starting with release 9.3.0.
History of Removed Functionality
These changes currently apply only to new databases. Until further notice, Vertica will maintain WOS support for databases that were created in earlier releases.
