Depot Warming
Depot warming is a feature that helps prevent newly-added nodes to an Eon Mode cluster or subcluster from slowing query performance. If the new node immediately began processing queries when it joined the cluster, it would slow query performance by forcing the other nodes to wait while it retrieves data it needs to process queries. Instead, the node usually pre-loads data into its depot before it takes part in processing queries. When it has a warm depot that contains most of the data it needs to process queries, the new node begins taking part in query processing.
