Enterprise and Eon Database Modes

You can create a Vertica database in one of two modes: Enterprise Mode or Eon Mode. These modes control how and where the database stores its data. Each mode has its own distinct advantages. For more about these modes, see Vertica Architecture: Eon Vs. Enterprise Mode.
