Larry Bird, Boston Celtics legend and NBA Hall of Famer, shot 500 free throws every morning before his first class in high school. But, he didn’t stop there. Larry was known to shoot 100 free throws after every NBA game. The result? The sharp-shooting forward from French Lick, Indiana led the NBA in free throw percentage four times in addition to scoring nearly 22,000 points and winning three NBA titles and three consecutive NBA MVPs. He was also a 12-time all-star in a 13-year career.

As a data engineer, how do you improve your skills to keep on top of the game of big data analytics and machine learning? Naturally, you study and keep up on the latest technology advancements, perhaps even visiting the Vertica Academy for self-paced learning, on-demand training, and, soon, instructor-led classes on Vertica.

And, of course, you practice. A lot. But, what if you could get the best practices on Vertica – from the world’s top experts at a fun venue with all of your peers in the industry?

Join us at the Vertica Big Data Conference 2020 and learn from the all-star best practices team, covering a range of helpful topics over two and half days to improve and advance your skill set. Here’s a glimpse of the eight sessions dedicated to Vertica best practices:
