At Vertica, Deb leads a team of tech-savvy technical writers, technical trainers, and user experience practitioners. Deb evangelizes for empowering users with information that meets their needs, when and where they need it. Prior to Vertica, Deb worked for an MIT and Harvard startup, and led a technical writing team that was focused on improving the users' information experience. She has her masters from Northeastern University in Technical Communication and User Experience, and also teaches courses there.
