The Vertica Boot Camp allows new Vertica users to learn how Vertica solves big data problems. They will learn the skills needed to deploy and manage the Vertica Analytics Platform. It is intended for users with minimal prior experience with Vertica. The course provides participants with practical experience installing and configuring Vertica 4.1 in a hands-on, instructor-led environment.

- Date: Monday, June 27 through Wednesday, June 29
- Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm each day
- Location: Sofitel San Francisco Bay, 223 Twin Dolphin Drive, Redwood City, CA
- Cost: $2,000 total; students pay for their own travel expenses (airline, hotel, etc.)
- Hotel: Hotel and travel information to be sent upon registration
Technical Requirements
Each Boot Camp student must bring a laptop PC with an available USB drive port.
- Windows/XP, Vista, or Windows 7
- VMware Player 2.5 or higher installed OR sufficient privileges to install VMware Player
- A host system that fulfills VMware Player’s installation requirements if installation is required
- - 2GHz CPU recommended, 2GB RAM recommended
- - 150 MB of free disk space
- - At least 768 MB RAM Free (to run guest Linux OS)
